HEBREWS 11:7

WHAT FAITH LOOKS LIKE: NOAH

May 22, 2016

Todd Chapman

Hebrews 11:7 ESV: [7] By faith Noah, being warned by God concerning events as yet unseen, in reverent fear constructed an ark for the saving of his household. By this he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.

The author is making it absolutely clear those who have genuine faith in God are delivered by Him.  Those who don’t are not.

  • God warned Noah.
  • Noah, in faith (reverent fear), obeyed God.
  • Noah’s response of faith was in sharp contrast to everyone else.
  • Noah was delivered.
