Tomorrow:

It is exciting to be part of a church community that is growing in our enjoyment of God and in our passion to help others to enjoy Him. With our focus on Jesus (the treasure), we’re learning to read the bible for ourselves, there is ongoing spiritual transformation happening in community, and lives are being changed!

We have two current initiatives designed to increase our momentum in ongoing spiritual transformation (OST): “building our bench”, by which we mean the development of leaders, and “making the most of the RCC campus”.

To make the most of our campus, we want to create an environment that new people can comfortably embrace long enough to discover the treasure through their relationship with us.  Basically, we want to make it easier to create community around here.  We have some exciting plans that are underway, but because they include selling some property, they will take time.

But there is an impact that we can have now, and it begins with upgrades to our Children’s Ministry area. We believe when kids are happy here, their parents are happy and will come back.  When parents come back they get to know other people in our community, building relationships, which is the beginning of OST!

In order to make these immediate changes, we would like to raise some additional funds above and beyond the normal giving that you all generously contribute.  We have set a goal to raise $50,000 between now and August 31st, 2016.  How will we use this money you ask?  We have identified the following projects:

·       Install wood flooring in children’s classrooms - $10,000

·       Outdoor deck and shade sails in front of Kids’ Building - $20,000

·       Playground upgrades - $5,000

·       Children’s classroom upgrades - $5,000

·       Hill slide (Todd’s favorite upgrade) - $10,000

As funds come in and we reach the giving level needed to complete a phase, we will begin the work on the upgrades.  We will move to the next phase of upgrade as we pass each “milestone”.  So, our joyful participation will allow us to celebrate these changes as a means to more OST for more people.
